Hello Family,
I'm new to the site so if i make so mistakes please forgive me.

I have a 1956 Chevy truck 1/2 ton (3100) I have a question about the doors on a 55/56/57, I'm looking to buy a drivers side door, what i need to know is where the upper door hinge is bolted to the door is it the same on all years.
I seen a door where the hinge slides into a channel where the hinge isn't exposed, then I seen another door where the hinge bolt right to the door and the hinge is exposed.
Can anyone help me with this question ?

As far as I know all doors from '55-'59 should be the same. one hinge slides in a channel the other is outside.

Both the top and bottom hinge slide into a slot on the door. The door side hinge bolts are accessible via the small access panel at the bottom and the large panel at the top.
