Im new to this part of the forum but was active with my 57 Chevy in the past!
I just recently purchased a 2023 C8 Stingray (waited 2 years!). I took delivery, drove it home 3 days ago. Had other things to do so I didn't drive it. So I decided to check the oil (familiarize myself) and to my DISMAY! I find NOTHING SHOWING on the dipstick!!! (WTF!)
I drove the car from the dealer about 15 miles to my house! Before I got home the engine wasn't running as nice as it started out!
So here I sit, wondering if the engine in the car is TOAST!????
Don't have a clue what I should do next! Looking for someone with knowledge of what I need to do beside not start it or drive it!
At 77 years old this is my first totally new car and I don't have to tell you that when the financial dust settled, Im sitting somewhere South of $90K!

Congrats on the new vette.

It's because of the dry sump oiling system.

I think your dash would start screaming at you too if the oil was way low.
