I am working on a '67 3/4 ton that has the high hump transmission tunnel. It came in pieces, with the transmission tunnel removed and in the box. I couldn't tell if there was a gasket there. Can someone tell me if a gasket sealed the tunnel to the floor, and if so, where to get one? Haven't seen anything anywhere that addresses this. Thanks

From what I can remember, the factory used a type of caulking similar to climate control boxes, maybe the same thing?
People fear change because it threatens what they know, or what they claim to know. |

That certainly sounds quite plausible. The other day I was in town and a shop there was working on a '71 4x4. I went over to look to see if there was anything there. Much to my suprise there was a substance in there that reminded me of the foam insulation in a can. Someone didn't like the way their tunnel was sealed.
