I'm looking to add an RP (reduced pressure / HTE) paint gun to my tool kit. Are there any other "budget" guns similar to the Iwata AZ3HTE2 (1.3 / 1.4) that can be had for between $100-$200? Insight and options would be appreciated.

I'd also be appreciative of any suggestions for an LVLP (1.3 - 1.5) in the <$150 range. Currently spraying a lot of parts and panels in a somewhat confined space and looking to keep overspray to a minimum.

Every manufacture should have a budget option, have you checked Devilbiss? Here's a good source to get some info https://www.autobody101.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=27782

Just bought a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT and negotiated $9k off MSRP. I brag about it every chance I get!

Was surprised to see a reply notification for this forgotten thread. Thanks!

Since it's already bumped...

I did get the Iwata/Air Gunsa AZ3HTE2 for top coats and picked up an LVLP R500 which handles the bull work of 1.5-2.0 tipped primer and surfacer duties (very low overspray and air consumption). These two guns have been a stellar combination providing very good results especially for a garage squirter like me who used exclusively a Binks #7 for the past 35 years.
