Hello group, On my 61 bubble top the rear of the driver's door has a channel that the window uses to guide going up and down. I took the door panel off and found that my channel has no felt. Is that channel available aftermarket? Can you buy the felt and replace it on my channel? I only have 170,500 miles on my car since finished, don't understand why it wore out I guess I opened and closed the window too many times. I have powerwindows. Anyway, love to hear all your thoughts. Thanks, Deane

Deane there is a 2 & 1/2 in wide felt that is sold that is used on all 61-64 Chevy Impala convertible curved metal track.
There is also 1 & 5/8 inch wide felt ( used on all 61 -64 2 door hardtop and convertible vertical door track ( bolts to the door jamb)
I can send some installation pictures.
I think these might work on your tracks( do have a picture or two of track in the car?

Hi Paul, I had to put the door panel back on for now as the car goes in the shop for new front suspension. I'll get back next week and shoot some pic then. It fastens with a screw net to the lock knob and two rear of the door panel where the door mechanisms are. Looks like it might be tough to wiggle out. Thanks for the knowledge Paul

here are the tracks you are talking about for the rear portion of the door glass.
These tracks have been zinc plated gold and the felt has been removed by scraping the old felt off the 3 sides of track prior to installing the new felt.
There is portion of the felt partially sitting in one of the tracks - the felt is 1 & 1/2 inches wide and fits the tracks perfectly (by glueing it in place with yellow 3M spray glue) -no trimming on the sides is needed -only cut off excess felt at the bottom of the track

here is the felt I am talking about -this link is way too much felt(8 feet)
https://www.classicindustries.com/product/1962/che...
so this Hubbard piece is 27 inches enough for both tracks not enough for 3 sets of track on the 8 foot of felt (check the width with Hubbard since their is not a picture of the felt... )
