2015 Chevy Express 3500. Got error code P1682 that indicated a failure of the Ignition Switch. Got a new one installed per factory manual instructions BUT the lock cylinder will not fully seat in the housing by about 1/4". Key will turn the ign switch but I can not remove the key from the cylinder without the cyl also coming out of the housing.

Did you try moving the steering wheel? Does it not lock into place? I can't remember if there is an alignment slot or pin. It can be tricky to get it in there.
