My 3rd brake light will not work. I've checked everything the service manual tells you to check. But have had hardly any luck keeping the light working. One time it works and shortly thereafter it quits again. I have even attached extra ground wires to both terminals from the window bracket bolts, but it still will not work. I have power to the blue wire at the rear connector, but no power @ the light on the glass. Need some help, getting it to stay working. 1986 Camaro

Check the bulb fitment and the condition of the bulb ends. Over time they can flatten out and also the plastic that holds the metal tabs in place degrades.

I didn't know how the '86 is wired. It's wired thru the hatch contact like the '87- ?
