I have 600-16 bias-ply tires on my 1948 Fleetline Aerosedan. They came with it when I bought it. They are old and need to be replaced. I was thinking of going to a radial of the same size from Diamond Back. Will I need tubes? I think my current tires have tubes.

Does anyone have an opinion of the Diamond Back radials? I hate the bias-ply ride.
Thank you.

I put radials on my 48. About 10 years ago. Did not use any tubes and they have never went down. Do add a little air once in a while. Do not know about the Diamond Backs.

If the rims on your car are in good shape and not bent in any way you should be Ok. As for diamond back tires I've not heard anything negative about them.
They've been around for a long time.

Remember,I'm not always right. But I'M never WRONG !

My second set of Diamond Backs are being delivered tomorrow 6/16. Love them. DB also has a radial that looks like a bias ply tire if you want the original look. Mine are wide white radials. Go to dbtires.com, fill in the required info as wheel diameter and tire size you’re looking for and it will give you the price.
