I run a sbc with Hedman headers and I keep burning up spark plug wire boots, especially #1 cylinder that leaves very little room for the spark plug wire boot. Pegs has 8.0 wires with 90 degree ceramic boots. Sounds like a logical remedy but I can't find much about them. Has anyone here used them? I suspect that they are a fragile and might easily break or crack.

28 people so far have read this and apparently no one has ever used wires with ceramic boots. Maybe this is why there aren't many reviews or articles about the use of this product to be found on the internet. It sounded like a good idea but I should probably stick with regular wires.

Hey 1carguy. I put a set of those accel plug wires with ceramic boots on my sbc 57 wagon a few years ago when i owned it, and NEVER had a burned plug boot issue afterwards.
So my vote is YES, do it if you're burning up boots.

I started with the asbestos boots. they lasted a while. but then went to the ceramic boots and never had an issue after.

Wagon Crazy some years ago I saw a red 57 wagon on craigslist and wondered if it was yours. Checked a few days later and it was gone. Was that yours and did it sell quickly? Mel and yes a little off topic!

Yeah, that could have been my 9 passenger wagon on CL. I did sell it several weeks after putting it up for sale. Haven't seen hide nor hair of it since then. I suspect the buyer exported it over to Asia somewhere. Not sure...just a hunch.
Some days I miss that wagon, other days I don't (like everytime I drive the Nomad.)
