There is a book on 55-7 Chevys from the mid 80's and in the book there is a photo of a 55 chevy that is black with 70's graphics that is a white or pearl striping with various colored star bursts. If you have the book, is there any way I can get a photo of that photo? I want to start a resto of an old Philco fridge and do a similar paint job on it. Thanks if you can help. My book may be in my mom's storage, but won't be able to get to it for a year or so. I believe it's been out of print for many years. I may have been put out by "Motorbooks". It was a hardcover book, not very thick, maybe 3/8"-1/2", and was wider than it was tall.
If someone else can design it, I sure as heck can figure out how to fix it! |

Hmmm, I thought somebody might have this book in their car book library?

Thanks for trying! The paint job on that 55 is pretty distinctive. Those that had the book are likely to remember it. I know there's some tri five people out that that still have this book....

The cover is definitely different than the book I have in storage. Maybe I have a first or second edition? As I remember, I think the cover has a photo as opposed to graphic rendering. If anyone has the book, the picture I'm looking for is fairly distinct of a black 55 with that cosmic looking, tron light cycle looking stipe/graphic.

The book was titled Tri Chevy by Mike Key. He lived in England. Book was published there.
He who dies with the most toys doesn't necessarily win, but had more fun getting to the finish line. |

That's it!! Thank you brother! I hadn't checked lately as I've been tied up with a newborn Philly that was trying to get pneumonia on me. Had to take to the university hospital, and now appears to be doing better. Thank you for finding and posting this for me!
