I was a member of the old National Nomad Association from '72 to '82. Back then it was well known that the '54 Corvette "Waldorf" Nomad was a one only made car. History had it that it was destroyed by GM in 1958 for unknown reasons. I never heard any different till just recently. There is a web site out there that are saying that 5 were made and only 3 exist. I know there has been some replicas made but looking to verify the history of it. Was it true that only one was made or did history have it wrong? Here is the web site that is saying different:

Thanks

All auto manufacturers have a segment of their organization dedicated to "styling exercises" or whatever name that they choose for "what if" models. This is an example of MANY types of these that the manufacturer has done.

I once saw a 79 Chevette that was "styled" into a wagon instead of a hatchback. It was an interesting design and had a longer wheelbase and the front section, front and rear doors were the same as the 4-door.

Ford did a Thunderbird pickup truck as a styling exercise. Nothing new or magical here.
