What do you use on bolt threads for a water pump, thermostat housing, fan, ac & ps brackets, temp & oil sensors, etc. I've heard blue locktite, anti-seize, sealant, grease, and nothing at all. Some of the bolts are going into aluminum intake.

It depends on whether you need to seal for coolant/oil or not. If not, then anti-seize.

for me, different app different paste. if its in water , thread sealant. exhaust, anti sieze. aluminum, blue loctite. better not come loose, red loctite.
70 L camino, grampa engine, g-force 5 spd, road rage suspension. Pray first before all else fails. |
