Hi

My wipers stopped working and, when I took the cowl off I saw that the motor had separated from its mount under the dash. I can tell where the motor bolts up, can anyone tell me or post a picture?

thanks

Now that I removed the radio and got under the dash I see that the mount is attached to the motor but it has separated from the firewall. I assume the mount it welded to the firewall, is that correct?

I removed the motor and the mounting bracket is rusted through, anyone know where I can get one?

I'd let you have mine Mark, but it's not going to be available for a while. I need to finish my new cab and take the old cab off. That's when I can cut it out of the old cab.

sorry brother

Thanks Brah! I found one from Aspen Auto in Arizona and they are going to cut it out and send it. Now figuring out how to put the motor in "park" is going to be a trick!

Well this isn't really an answer but this thread from 67-72 Chevy has some discussion with pictures. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?...

"There is a set of notches on the initial linkage that attaches to the wiper motor. These notches need to line up. Then the rest of the linkage will attach. I will see if I can locate the pics of the alignment notches for you."

I got a new set of wiper "transmission" arms a they are not the same as the original so I'm sending them back and am going to pull the motor and install the rubber seals that the guy who put it back in forgot. I'm going to try mightly not to move the shaft on the motor so it stays in sync.

Has anyone used United Pacific Stainless Steel Wiper Blade/Arm Set w/9" Blade & 7.5"Arm, Plug-In Style? I cut off the knurled end of the wiper transmission arms and the stubs appear to be suitable for these arms since they bolt on.

It's been quite a journey. The posts on the wiper transmission arms we worn smooth so I ground them off and got a new set. They connected to the arms with a set screw and they wouldn't hold when I tried to put the wipers on. Then I added JB weld to try to hold them on and even that didn't hold em. I ordered a set of aftermarket arms and they didn't work so now I have to wait on a used set from the place in Arizona where I got the motor mounting plate!
