I'm in the middle of a very frustrating electrical issue with my 99 Tahoe 4 door I can lock and unlock all the doors with the remote but I cannot lock and unlock the doors with door switches I have unraveled all the wires in the doors and checked them all for continuity, fixed wires that have been cracked or frayed by door opening and closing so I'm at the point that I think I need to check the door lock relay but I don't know how to test that to make sure it is working any help would be greatly appreciated

If the locks work from the remote but not the door switch, it is not a relay. You can switch it with another known good relay, but I think you will find you will have the same problem. You can put your hand on the relay as you use the remote and you will fell a vibration and hear a click as the relay activates. I think you probably have a bad lock switch(es). On some vehicles, if the master switch on the drivers door goes bad, the other switches won’t work.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I put a new switch in drivers door when wires seemed to be in good condition
