I have a power steering car with a rebuilt power Saginaw 800 steering box that is having some issues. Since I currently do not have a power steering pump, I would like to convert to a manual and shelf that pump for a later project.

When converting to manual steering, it seems I will need a new pitman arm with a smaller (?) diameter hole on the big end.

Assuming this is true, does anyone know where I can source one?

Where are you located? I know of three wrecking yards in the Northwest that still have '66 Impalas around. Also, if it happens to be the same PN as a '65 Chevy C10, I have a manual box from that truck when I converted to power steering. It still has the pitman arm on it.

I am in the midwest. I am not sure the C10 uses the same box or pitman arm. Thanks though.

you can google search o.e. P# 3864703, '65-66 full size (Impala/Belair/Biscayne) non p/s, forged # 3855955.

I have my O.E. manual box with arm still attached. I'd rather not split them if all you need is the arm but if you need both we can talk!

I was planning to buy a new box but wouldn't be opposed to a good working used one
