I shared this on Facebook...why not here also? The '49 assembly did not protrude from the grille as far as the 1950 did. Even though the '49 lens is taller, once inserted in the '49 bezel, it and the '50 lens, protrude the same distance from each bezel. The lenses are not interchangeable without some seating issues.

Can the entire bezel & lense from a '49 be swapped into a '50 grill? Meaning... are they the same diameter?

I need them, but I have a '50 and have a lead on '49 parking light pods with lenses.

Thanks,

-Phil

I wasn't going to rest until I got this question answered. The short answer is YES, it does fit and is a direct bolt in. One thing to note, the mounting studs are slightly off center so attention must be paid when they are installed. They must be rotated in the correct orientation for each side. The problem I see is with the fitment to the larger scalloped molding that is below the bezel on the 1950 grille...perhaps one of the reasons the bezel was elongated. A rather significant gap is formed between the bezel and the molding that is somewhat unsightly.

Thanks for the follow-up. I will have to drag mine out to swap meets to make sure in case I find some.
