Car is currently in the chassis shop being fitted for a full roll cage, which will allow me to dip into the 9's legally and therefore with more regularity.
I'll post an update in my intro thread as soon as I get word from my builder about how it's going.
Missed the first race in Orlando, and I suspect I'll miss the second in Rockingham the weekend after Easter. Hoping I can make
St Louis: May 4-7
Martin: July 20-23
Norwalk: August 24-27
and Indy: September 21-24

Missed Rockingham this past weekend; on track for St Louis.
Chassis builder says the car will be finished by this weekend.

Made it to St Louis but the timing was much tighter than I expected. Ended up going with the cage not painted and no carpet, and without the new lightweight seats.
Pros: Was able to get the cage certified so the car is now legal to 8.50's. Everything associated with the cage is good: bars are not intrusive, swing out side bar is good, window net fits, padding is in a good place, etc.
Pro: Got started on driver licensing passes (6 required). Managed to get 4 completed.
Con: Broke the motor. Broke a lifter and cant get the remaining portion out of the block so the motor has got to come out.
I'll post more detail (and pics) in my Intro thread under the "G3 Pics" heading.
