Replaced every inch of brake lines in our '69 Z28.

Filled master reservoirs....started bleeding process at right rear....

No flow there.

Front discs are locked up with bleeder valve at right rear open.

We also replaced the brake/clutch pedal assembly under the dash.

Made no change to the brake rod length. Had approximately 3/4" free play.

Is there a step I've missed. Tomorrow we will go through system and crack fittings to see where we have fluid flowing.

Thanks

paul

From a former 69 Z-28 owner to a current owner.
Under the MC there is a block with a small rod that fits in a notch on a sliding metal dowel. If the dowel is not centered you will not be able to bleed one end of the car or the other. Need to hold the rod down while bleeding.
I am leaning toward the fronts not releasing answer being in the MC.
Sorry late and not much help. Mel

Mel: Is that the button at the rear with the rubber boot over it?

I've kept it depressed while attempting to bleed both rears and fronts.

I loosened the master/booster at firewall, released the button, cracked the fittings at the front brakes and, voila', the pads backed off...

Retightened the master and bleeders and still have free wheels.

I'll keep working on it to get the rears bled, then go back to the front (RR - LR - RF - LF)... been doing that dance for more than 50 years!!!
