I have a couple of questions,, when down at around 25/30 mph and you step on the gas, it feels like it just does not know what to do, sluggish, kind of feels like it is flooding out, you really have to step on the gas to get it to down shift to go. Does any one else have this.

Question 2,, at all speeds I hear a winning noise. Let up off gas and it goes away. I just turned 50,000 miles.

For it's age, a tune up is due. Clean the throttle body with a cleaner. Clean the MAF sensor. Transmissions will shift funny if the motor is not running good. Modern transmission also shift funny when they don't have full voltage.

As for whining, it can be several things. If it goes away by lifting the throttle, I would check the drive shaft u joints. Plus the carrier bearing if it's a two piece.
The most common engine bay whining is a bad pulley. Take tension off the belt. Spin the idle and belt tensioner pulleys. One or both are bad. Replace both if one is bad.

Read thru this link. Chevy had/has issues with the software. I had mine done a while back and it helps. Read thru the website, several issues with these tranny's.

Ok I have read everyone's comment and I printed the bulletin on the #18-NA-145,, but in watching on U TUBE I found a guy that had a bulletin #18-NA-175. I know how these bulletin's work they are not really recalls and the dealers do not like talking about them let alone doing anything that they can not make money on even though it was set up by GM. This 18-NA-175 said something about a special tool.... Would it help to file a claim with the BBB.
Do not want to make this long but I did that once on a 1981 GMC Jimmy. No recall but a service bulletin on a soft cam. If it would not have been for a friend of mine at the dealer I would have not known. I had already rebuilt the motor and he told me about this but I had to go through the BBB. GM denied it because I did not have a dealer do it, but with a arbitrator and all my bills and some questions GM gave me all my money back.

Cant hurt contacting the BBB. Dont know how much they can do. The truck is almost 7 model years old and this is a cosmetic issue. One of my friends ( 2016 Colorado ) had the seat cover replaced 3 times, one cover was the new part number and it split as well.
Maybe after market is the way to go with this.

Well I just want to say that I did reach out to GM and they basically said sorry about your bad luck. No warranty. I have not taken the truck to the dealer yet. Truck only has 50549 miles and I feel it should fall under the engine/drivetrain warranty. Any way I have reached out the the Attorney General's office here in Florida and explained the situation to them. They told me to send them all the appropriate info and I listed the web site that was posted so they could go to see what a lot of you have gone through. I will keep you informed on what happens as soon as I hear something. Thank you for all the info and help.

2015-2017 trucks are noted for transmission problem. Unfortunately I don't have an useful information. We do have a GM representative here. Let me ask our super admins for contact info.

First of all I have an appointment with the dealer,, BUT I also have a couple of more questions. I am pretty sure that the OEM fluid was, DEXRON VI, I have read that some guys and dealers have replaced the fluid with a upgraded fluid, [ which I feel means SYNTHETIC], My question is if you change the fluid to a synthetic, doesn't that mean you have to drain the converter, because I have always heard you are not suppose to mix the regular and synthetic. I would like to change mine to the DEXRON VI SYNTHETIC but afraid to mix them.

ALSO has any one filed a report with the NHTSA. There is suppose to be a class action suite against GM on this.

Dexron III was replaced by Dexron VI. When my 700R4 needed a little fluid, I could not find any. I used up all my spare quarts. When I couldn't find it, I asked and researched it. So now, my 700R4 gets topped off with Dexron VI.

Read the bottle...but DEX/Merc may be a possibility and also MercV....read the bottle, it will tell you what it replaces.

I was not concerned about replacement of the fluid, I was concerned with mixing the Dexron 111 with the Dexron V.... I understand the Dexron V is synthetic and the Dexron 111 is not
