Hi everyone I have a 60 Elcamino that is running 1965 chevy 14" rims. I have the 1960 full wheel covers installed at the moment (the ones with the teeth not nubs)
Does anyone know if the 1960 dog dish hub caps will fit my rims???
I cannot find this info anywhere on google any help appreciated

Yes, I’ve had this size dog dish on 14 inch 59 wheels which have 3 bumps for the cap to fit over and on later 15 inch GM wheels with the 4 bumps, from the 80’s. Probably fit back to 55 too, if those original hubcaps are the same diameter as the 60 dog dish.

As best as I know, the FIRST year for Chevy wheels that had the nubs for later style dog dish caps was 1954 (53-earlier wheels had the clips for entirely different dogdish caps).
Thus, ANY, repeat, ANY 54-later wheel will work with ANY 54-later dog dish caps---------------PROVID ED IT HAS THE NUBS! I point this out, because SOMETIME in the late 70s or early 80s, 15in Chevy wheels no longer had the nubs for dog dish caps.
On my 56 Corvette, it have 15x6 front and 15x7 rear wheels from mid 70s GM A-body cars (Malibu, Lemans, Cutlass, etc). They are actually a better wheel for dog dish caps because they have 4 nubs, whereas the earlier (50s-60s) wheels only had 3 nubs.

Oh ya, on my little trailer, I have late 50s-early 60s 14in wheels with 56 dog dish caps also.

And yes, I have a spare tire for EVERYTHING including the little trailer.
I made the rack from 1in angle alum and stainless nuts/bolts.

Thanks everyone looks like its all go, now just got to find a set at a reasonable price and that are not banged up to much. Its hard competing with the corvette people to buy the same hubcaps.
