who makes Goplus welders. they look a bit cheap. id stick with a brand name background thats trusted. Hobart is good and basically Miller guts . Lincoln is good too. but to answer your question, youtube has a few videos how to set up your mig welder. just that easy.

If they gave you the mask-on-a-stick go ahead and buy an auto dimming hood from HB because you will need both hands. I'd add a welding blanket and those magnets they sell are pretty handy too. Lots of good welding vids on the 'tube.

Most importantly cover up what you don't want hot boogers burning holes thru because they do at lightning speeds. My big toe currently has a hole to match the one in my new walking shoes. The hotter the weld the farther and hotter the boogers fling.

Here's my tip:
Take your phone out of your shirt pocket before you weld. It turns out Otter doesn't make spark proof protectors. (speaking for a friend)

I had one slam dunk in my ear once. Burned a hole in my eardrum and caused an infection. Now I have hearing loss in that ear and it rings constantly, otherwise known as tinnitus.

I will be of little value to you on your question except have you contacted the manufacturer for written guidance or internet?
I have seen evening classes on Mig welding at some high schools here in my state.
Did Grumpy leads help?
