Probably a dead horse already beaten, but I've been trying to research these varieties of paint and get the pros and cons of each.

Looking to paint an 83 GMC daily driver truck with a single stage Carmine red and a 57 sedan for driving and local shows with Sierra Gold metallic base coat/clear coat. I would like to use the same basic brand system for both so I can use the same primers etc. Both are complete repaints so no issues with trying to match an existing color.

I know that the paints I've listed are the economy lines for PPG and Axalta, not sure how Crossfire stacks up for MS, and that you get what you pay for. Are there any mid-range paints that are better than the economy lines but less than the top end paints?

1959 3800 Pickup

Does it still count as a "barn find" when it's your barn?
