Trying to learn a little about my car and google is not helping me with these numbers or best I can make out. Any input is appreciated. It’s supposed to be a 327 in the car is what I was told from the gentleman I got it from.

Per Mortec, that block was used for 327s from '62-'67. But if my memory is correct, the same block was also use for 283s.

3782870 is the casting code. The other looks like a date code.

T is Tonawanda, 09 is September, 11 is 11th day, S is for powerglide.

The year of build would be cast near that casting number on the back of the block. My 63 vette used that same block for the 327.

I am not sure the data there is 100% complete, the cast number at the rear of the block will confirm if it’s a 62, 63, or 64.

Cleaned off the gunk and it shows a date of 1963.

Likely later in 63? Anything August on likely went in a 64.
