I have a '94 Sierra 4.3L. The brake fluid was last flushed out 08/15/17 and it had 220,186 miles on it.

I put a new master cylinder and new rear slave cylinders on it at 227,068 and 04/17/19.

It got a new power brake booster at 236,247 and 09/25/20.

I've never put calipers on the front.

Mileage is now 240,431.

Now I'm seeing really, really black brake fluid in the reservoir. Does that indicate it's time to change the hoses? They haven't been changed before and I've owned it since it was new.

Any tips on doing the job and/or recommendations on hoses? I've been looking at these:

Yes, time to change them. Last fall I changed all 3 flex hoses using ACDelco. My hoses were original as well, at 260,000mi. Also replaced all rear drum hardware and front calipers & rotors & master cylinder. I suggest ya bleed them overkill, that is, until all 4 have fresh fluid coming out. Get a "soft" hose so it fits snugly on the bleeder nipples and submerge the end in a clear jar with fluid. Your master cylinder (if oem) may have seals going out too, your decision.

And, if you decide to replace the MC, may I recommend getting one for a 2002 Tahoe?

Best thing I ever did for my ‘95 K1500 besides the new engine.

You need this adapter to make the front line work.
