I'm looking to weld in my motor mounts and am looking for a height measurement for the motor to sit at. I was thinking either the oil pan rim with reference to the frame, or the valve cover to the firewall or something...

If anyone is tinkering around in the garage this weekend maybe could take a quick measurement for me?

What engine are you using?
If it's a 235/261, the engine has to sit low enough so the valve cover can come off. I made that mistake on my first motor mounts... couldn't get the valve cover off.

1953 210 Convertible, 261 with dual Carter YF 966S carbs, P.S., Remote Bendix P.B. Booster... shade-tree restoration about done.

Also make sure the air cleaner will clear the hood and transmission linkage is ok.
