Hi everyone, im new here and hoping for some help identifying what i bought! I got both cars for 3k, the 4 door is supposed to be a parts car for the limo, but its in such good shape, i think im going to restore it too. Would appreciate it if you could identify the years for me.

They look like 51's.
If you can lift the hood and look on the top of the cowl on the right/passenger side there should be a Fisher Body tag riveted there which would have the year of the body, 51-XXXX. Plus the trim and paint codes will be there as well.

The first car is a 1951 Styleline 4-Door Deluxe...equipped with the automatic PowerGlide transmission. The second car is also a 1951 also but converted into a multi-passenger taxi; used many times as an Airport Limo. Stageway was one of the conversion companies. A 1950 Styleline and a 1956 Station Wagon which have been converted in the same way.

Most awesome information! Thank you! Love the pics! In your opinion, is the limo worth trying to restore to stock, or should i just have fun with it?

Curious about how they "stretched" the enclosed drive-line, unless it was deleted and converted to open drive-line, or possibly a combination of both, like a truck of the same vintage. Maybe some entire power-train pics to make everyone else want one too? I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

That's a great question. I'd be interested to know as well.

I've never seen one of these! And they just used the stock engine? I vote for fun, since it was an aftermarket mod anyway. Really cool!

The chrome plated pot metal attachments at the top of the rear quarters on your 4-Door Sedan. Chevrolet called them the very unglamorous name of "Rear Fender Molding Units".

The "rear fender molding units" are rare, and command a pretty good price on fleabay.

They both look salvageable to me. If you've got the dough, the limo might be a money maker. Do a resto mod on it with modern limo amenities and rent its services out. Bet you'd make a killing at prom season.
I had an uncle who was a coroner/funeral home operator. He knew where a 50 funeral hack was and kept wanting me to fix it up for him. Said people would pay a premium to be hauled in one. The good news is that limo could get you repeat business. That was a joke of his that people were dying to get into his place of business, but repeat business was bad. Strange sense of humor... coroners. Hated it when he'd pinch my neck and tell me I'd drain good.

Finally got a pic of the limo body tag. Will the parts from the 51 styleline deluxe work on a 52? Or do i need to find a doner car?

Most of the differences between 51 and 52 were cosmetic, stainless trim and rear quarter trim and 52 had teeth in the grille, etc.
