Hello, The original bottom fender bolt is 3/8-16 and threads into a heavy duty cage nut. One of mine was completely garbed, had to cut it off. They are available from Hubbards, p/n BFBC for $6.99 a pair.

If you're striking out at those other places for hardware try amkproducts.com
They have a cross reference of GM numbers to their own at the back of their PDF catalog with the catalog page the item can be found on

Is the cage nut a clip type sandwiching the bracket?

I get the impression he wants dead nuts on correct hardware with the original maker's mark on the head and original type of finish.
There were many sources, with many of them still available so he has to pick the maker's mark that matches his original.
The yellow zinc bolts are the most corrosion resistant but I think the assembly line used the cheaper black zinc option.
I have a tougher time determining the correct fastener finish for GM than Ford, because Ford fastener part numbers all include a finish code suffix.
I have a glossary of maker's marks to manufacturer's name in the AMK book I bought, but it's at home and I'm currently travelling.
I'll post it up when I can.

Lots of GM fender bolts etc. in this group of pages:

The entire catalog:

Maker's mark images etc. but no manufacturer listing like I have to post later from my book:

The GM part number to AMK number cross reference and some images of various finishes:

Same bolt as the other 3 at top mounting points. J nut at bottom on the bracket. I didn't have one handy when I changed a fender on my daily driver so I made one. Took a piece of sheetmetal and bent it into shape and drilled a hole and tack welded a nut to it. Slips on like original and works. I put some anti size on it too just in case I need to get it apart in the future.
