Anyone know where I can get a replacement fuse block for my 1963 Bel Air 4 door? I've been looking online for a couple hours and can't seem to locate one

I assume you are talking about the fuse box under the dash and the under dash wiring harness attached to it.

All 63 Chevys have a factory underdash harness that includes the fusebox. The fusebox is "not" sold separately. It would be extremely hard to replace just the fuse box.

You have to buy a original factory style Underdash wiring harness from American Auto Wire. Do not buy the classic update kit from them, buy an original underdash harness

This might be the right one from Cars Inc in Michigan-but the transmission & model of the car makes a difference

I would buy direct from American Autowire. Donny is a great guy, and is never too busy to get on the phone if you have a problem.

I have had him on the phone a couple of times, and he has so much knowledge stored in that brain of his it's amazing.

You won't get that advice from Cars Inc.

I'm just saying.

I had great support form American Autowire as well and can highly recommend them.

The back side of the fuse block plugs into the wiring block on the other side of the firewall and often the connectors in between often get corroded or lose their spring tension resulting in problems. So it might be a good idea to do both sides.

Thank you everyone!! I went through all of extra parts today and organized. I actually bought all my wiring from American Auto Wiring when I swapped it before! I'll definitely be going back to them if I need to replace anything. They were very helpful

I am doing a full check on the wiring tomorrow to see where the failure is. I'll let you guys know what I find out

I said I'd update and I haven't so here it is. I didn't find anything definitely wrong. I think I may need a new fuse box because one of the blades ce out when I pulled a fuse. I popped it back in and it works though. I did a quick check of lights and some don't work so I need to swap the bulbs to see if that resolves it. Otherwise, I think I'm in okay shape

That's not good. You could start a fire driving around with a car that has poor electrical connections. There are so many other scenarios where that is dangerous. Like having your car completely lose all power while driving on the highway. It seems you have already put quite a bit on money into your car already, I would address any safety issues you have now so you can keep enjoying your car for a long time. I recommend getting a new dash harness ASAP.

This is very true. I was being hopeful and not wanting to do the harness again. I would have come to my senses before driving it for sure. Buying a new harness this week

Looking at your picture you posted from your air cleaner topic, it appears you have HEI setup. That is good. You’ll want to tell AAW that you would like to have your dash harness modified for HEI. They won’t charge you too much for it but it will save you the hassle of having to modify it yourself. Nothing like having to back into a brand new “expensive” wiring harness. It’s worth the extra $15 or whatever they charge.
