so purchased a new delco style 9 in. power brake booster for my 65 ss , old one was tired and leaking , so the problem im having is mounting the new one to the firewall , the mount bolts are 3 1/2 center to center on the top and 3 3/4 center to center on the bottom , the new booster is 3 1/2 top and bottom center to center and will not go through the firewall , is this how they are made now? anyone experience this? i emailed classics tech support and will see what they say , wrong part maybe? sure dont want to drill out the firewall ugh....

Bottom holes simply elongate hole to allow the bottom bolts to go in. Doesn't take much on each side. I used a air Dremel, some say to file but the metal is hard. I got my 9" from another source but have the same dimensions as yours.
