Having problems putting my gear shifter in park with a cast iron powerglide. What area should I look at for the cause of this problem. Thanks

I would try adjusting the shift linkage.

Maybe the trans mounts, look to see if one or both have the rubber separating from the metal core. Many aftermarket mounts are cheaply made and do not last long.

Try lifting the PG with a floor jack and see if that changes the shifting effort.
