i have a 55 belair. it has a chevy 305 ci with an edelbrock 500 cfm my set up is 86 main jets 67x55 metering rod and purple spring. 19" manifold vac.
#6 on calibration ref chart. i was wondering if i went to #17 on the chart. which is 83 main jet 57x49 metering rods should that give me better mileage it shows a little richer on cruise but jets are smaller
any info on this would be helpful
thanks norm

So you don't trust the chart? Why did you mention it then?

Short hops? Not enough time too get to full op. temp? Im running same carb (elec choke 1403). Watch your tailpipe and plugs to fine tune the carb. I found the chart to be spot on except my elevation is 7000’
