Removed all of the plug wires some time ago, just now replacing them with Taylor cut to fit.

my problem is that one wire is 5 feet long and can reach anywhere under the hood.

It has a purpose. what cylinder should it go to

Cut to fit what? Different cars had different wire routes. Probably #1 if it's for a tri-5.

it was a curious question. My create motor came with the wires already installed. It also has one very long wire

the "universal" kit from Summit has this very long wire as well. May be it used for cars/trucks where a wire has a long route to take from plug to cap etc. like you mentioned..

I have what I need to do the job.

DONT NO WHY,BUT WHEN I CHANGED THE WIRES ON MY OLD 85 VETTE THE #1 WIRE WRAPED AROUND THE BASE OF THE DISY 2 TAKE UP THE SLACK.ORG WIRE WAS THE SAME.
