While replacing the rotted firewall in my 38, I had to take off the brackets that the rod would sit on when the hood is open. I took measurements in order to put them on the new firewall, but have since lost them. I am hoping that some one could help me out by giving me some measurements, or even a photo. Thanks in advance.
Greg

I edited the post, I need to know where to put the old brackets onto the new firewall. Sorry about any confusion.

I found an old picture. (Obviously, one bracket is loose.) Like I said before, I'm an hour away from the car, so I can't give you measurements. I hope this helps!

Thank you very much for the picture. It will help me greatly. I can also use the radiator support rod holes for reference. Just what I needed!
By the looks of your picture, you car is in fairly decent shape.

I did a quick measurement on my '38 and it's about 8" center to center from the cowl support rod holes to the hood prop rod brackets. I hope that helps!
