I saw this info posted in the '61 - '64 forum, and I wanted to share it.

Mr. Verne Frantz passed on February 14th, 2021.

OBITUARY LINK

I'm very sorry to hear of Verne's passing. I never met him in person, but conversed with him via CT and certainly benefitted from his tremendous knowledge. I wasn't present at the time, but he saw my freshly built '58 Delray windowed SDL at the MCACN show about 10 years ago and was complimentary of what I had done to it. I have to say, I was tremendously proud that he was impressed by my work, what a compliment!

Rest in peace, Verne - and THANK YOU!

They say when a man dies a library burns down. Truer words could not be spoken regarding Verne. RIP to a great man.

I lost count of the number of times Verne helped me by replying to my posts or replying to someone else. It’s one thing to gain knowledge and another to be so willing and capable of sharing it ....... thank you & RIP Verne.
