I have installed the regulators that I got in a box with my "47 stylemaster ; but the cam channel on the rear regulator arm is 4"below the access hole (both sides of car). So I can't screw the cam channel to the sash channel.Perhaps these are not the right regulators for this car. Any ideas out there. I could cut another access through the inner panel but it appears that the window will not close at the proper angle.
Thanks -Mark

I have a 47 convertible & I actually made a good one from 2 rear regulators since I couldnt find one. (I did find one a few years ago for $550)
Anyway, it can be done thru cannibalizing another regulator along with yours.
Post a pic of yours, maybe I can let you know what car it comes from.
I also rebuilt the guide wheels very cheaply

Thanks!

Hello Bru
It's going to be a battle to remove them, as it was very difficult to get them in. I'll get a photo if and when I get them out. How did you do the rebuild on the bushings? I was hoping to find a shortcut. I will need to do the front regulators. Also looking for front sash channels and the short fixed cam channel for drivers side front. I got this '47 mid way through the project with a lot of parts in boxes; so seems to be a mix of good and not so great and missing parts. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Is your Stylemaster a 2 dr or 4 dr?
The thing is some of the regulators were a bit different, depending on this but they all share the same body. I merely cut the arm and re-welded it where it was supposed to go by copying the opposite door (only backwards, if that makes sense) so the angle was correct for the side that I needed.
I figured a way to make the roller wheels work for the channels by using screen door wheel with the male threads attached. They needed to be ground down to make them "skinnier" so they fit inside the channel. Got em at Home Depot
let me know if you have any ques.

Thanks!

Hello Bru
I have a 2 door sedan. Just realized that I had the regulators on the wrong side. So upside down and backwards-silly mistake
I got run channel from Chevies of the 40s; it includes a bunch of little clips and a bunch of little screws. Have you installed that? Any quick tips there?
Thanks foe the suggestion on the rollers; will check that out.
