Hello, I need to shorten my e brake cable and crimp an end cap or sleeve on the end and wondered how the backyard mechanic can do that. I see ebay sells aluminum ends for crimping but I think I need steel and not sure what source is available. I have checked with a handful of businesses and nobody does it. Any comments?
thanks jim

U CAN TAKE UP SOME SLACK WITH THAT IF U THINK IT WILL WORK WITHOUT CUTTING THE CABLE.

unlikely that your gonna be able to crimp anything on the end hard enough to hold up. got pics? how ugly can it be?

Cut a piece of steel rod, drill a hole for the cable & braze it on.
