About a year ago I freshened up the front suspension on my 2002 GMC Sierra SLE 2WD 5.3L by replacing the rack and pinion, outer tie rods (inners on the rack) upper control arms and ball joints. I rented and used the Autozone coil compressor which was a little scary but it got the job done. The truck has 250K on it and the coils had plastic isolators wrapped around the bottom coil which were broken into several pieces from age. I reinstalled as best I could but now the truck is squeaky as can be! I went to the dealer to buy new and came away with round rubber isolators that installs ABOVE the coil according to service bulletin 99-03-08-002B. Has anyone installed these and did it raise your truck any?
