I put bucket seats in my 57 wagon but I know I need to add large metal washers or plates under the floor but thought I’d ask others what they did or suggest. Thanks

I channeled the inboard mount with welded in 3/16 angle iron. The outboard mount has a plate under the floor.

Did the outer plate run front to back? What’s the approximate size and thickness?
Is there someone that knows the aluminum Powerglide real good that I could ask the questions I posted?

The outer plate does run front to back and is what the fasteners for the original seat are attached to. Recommend you use them.
There's two ways to do the mounting brackets. The floor near the tunnel is 1-1/4" higher than at the original seat mounts. acardon's way was to drop the floor using the tunnel he showed. The other way is to put a spacer between the seat's outer side and the floor, fastening the spacer to the original seat mounts in the floor, and to the seat's structure.
