Hi,
For my 1954 Bel Air, 4 doors, I have seen dozens of photographs of the ashtray is in the rear of the back of the front seat, and I can not determine if all chrome (frame and center cap), or if the frame is chrome and the center cap is painted. If painted, what is the original color?
Someone could tell me how are originally from factory?
Thanks and best regards.

Mine is chrome and colored matched to the car. Im not to familiar with these cars yet, but maybe they came painted/chrome or all chrome as an option?

This is from the 1953 Engineering Features book that Chevrolet produced during roll-out of each new model year. I'm sure the 1954 models were about the same. If your car had an ash tray in the back of the seat in 1954, I'm sure this information is correct.

I learned something new today. Thank you both of you for helping me with my car restoration. If anything can help I am at your service.
