I have 255/45/17s on mine with 17x8 wheels and 4” back spacing (zero offset). Tires are 10” wide with with no interference.
You can do 18x8 in that size with 255/45s but that would be about the max in the stock wheel well. Here’s a link:

Here’s 255/45/18s on 18x 8.5” rims with +6mm offset on the 59 1/2. Same 10” width as the 58 but an inch taller.

Here's what I have on my Delray, with no rubbing or interference:
Front: 17x7, 4.0" backspacing, 235/45R17
Rear: 17x8, 4.5" backspacing, 255/45R17
The backspacing is critical on the rear or you will definitely get rubbing in the outer wheelwell lip.

8" on the front might be possible, but it depends on ride height and the type of driving you do. With the 7" above on the front, with a 1" coil spring cut, I detect some rubbing during hard and tight cornering. However, at normal speeds this is not an issue.
There's some (expensive) trial and error involved here, at least for me. For example, my original rear wheels had a different offset that rubbed against the outer wheelwell, so I had to buy a new set with different backspacing and sell my initial pair of wheels. So, it can be painful. I'm sure that using one of those Tire and Wheel simulator tools will help you dial in the sizes correctly.
