Have any of you guys had problems realigning the gap of the hood to front fender? If you look at the assembly manual it calls out a specific measurement at the back of the hood and front corners, but if you align to that, the front end corners of the nose panel end up with the same gap, and of all the 65's I've looked at, there is no gap on that panel. What am I missing here? The hood gaps are very tight at the front corners if I don't shim out that nose.

Are you talking the hood side to fender gap or across the front of hood to the header panel?

Both, the manual calls for 58.17 inches at the back and front , width. If I square to that the front nose panel wont fit flush at he corners??

Sorry I should specify, the gap at the front edge of the hood to nose panel can be adjusted by the hood to hinge mounting bolts. It's the gap on the hood sides at the front corners.. almost as if the header panel is not made wide enough to be square?

Sorry, can't help much there. Without measuring I have about 1/8-5/32' gap all the way including front and rear corners of hood to fender, and header fits snug to fenders, obviously a bit wider than the hood. Possible if you're using aftermarket repro tin its not quite to specs?

Thanks, yes I have only about that 1/8" gap too, seems a bit tight for dropping a 80# hood.
