WOW!!! I actually started to look this information up in my 1959 edition of "MOTOR'S MANUAL". Just the SEVEN different V-8 engine combinations compression ratios, horsepower, and torque figures are composed of 21 figures. Two different V-8's, the 265 and 283 engines, with 2 barrel, 4 barrel, dual 4 barrels, and fuel injection, plus hydraulic and mechanical lifter cams/lifters, and the adjusted clearance for a mechanical lifter cam/lifters, and several different cylinder heads. It's probably why no one else has responded to this thread. It's a LOT of information to look up, and respond with. NOT trying to be rude here at all, but you might look into buying an old "MOTOR'S MANUAL" to get those specs you're looking for; E-Bay has many different "MOTOR'S MANUALS" for sale/auction. Even at that, you'll only get the lift at the valves, no lobe lift, only valve clearance with a mechanical cam/lifters; no duration, no duration @ .050, no overlap, no LSA, no valve timing events; it's really a LOT of information. Like I said, I started to look it up:
265 with a 2 barrel carb/8:1 CR/162 HP/257 ft. lbs. torque.
283 with a 2 barrel carb/8.5:1 CR/185 HP/257 ft. lbs. torque.
283 with a 4 barrel carb/9.5:1 CR/220 HP/300 ft. lbs. torque.
283 with 2, 4 barrel carbs/9.5:1/245 HP/300 ft. lbs. torque.
Corvette 283 with fuel injection/9.5:1 CR/250 HP/305 ft. lbs. torque.
Corvette 283 with 2, 4 barrel carbs/9.5:1 CR/270 HP/285 ft. lbs. torque.
Corvette 283 with fuel injection/10.5:1 CR/283 HP/290 ft. lbs. torque. Some of those have hydraulic lifters, some are sold liters.
This is how it was all listed; WHEW!!!. Cam specs would be a DOUBLE WHEW, and I just had another major spinal surgery (number TEN), and now I'm beat.

thanks Butch. I will find an old Motor manual.
I did find a '64 283 & 327 used the same cam and had the same specs.
.398" valve lift. factory duration is very difficult. measured at the very first instant of movement 300 degrees and some where up the flank 250 degrees. but not at .050",
curious to see what the '57s had. it appears that there was a different cam for each application. later on they said screw it, just use one cam!

So what are you going to do with this knowledge?

I think you'll find that all the hydraulic cams are very close to the same and not comparable at all to even the mildest aftermarket hydraulic cams.

And that would be true of the solid lifter cams too until you get to the "097" cam. Which is also pretty mild.
