I have a 63 Biscayne with a later year 4-speed Saginaw transmission. Based on searching the case number (3925656) it shows that it might have come from a 68-75 Camaro. There is a two-pronged sending unit in the side plate by the reverse shift lever. I am wondering if anyone would know offhand if this is a backup light switch? I am attempting to wire my car with backup lights and wonder if I can use this for the switch? I will test with a multimeter to see how it functions in and out of reverse to double check.
