Well guys I upgraded from a 1997 S10 to a 2015 Colorado, wow what a difference, but I do I think have a problem with the GPS. It has the IO6 Chevrolet MyLink Audio System w/8" Diagonal Color Touch & Navigation. It acts like it freezes up and I have to keep hitting reset, but then it only last just a few seconds and it does it again. Then after a while I get a message that says,, you have requested to disconnect you phone. It was working fine when I got in April of 2020 but all of a sudden it is screwed up. My question is can they loose their program and need to be reprogramed or is it more serious. Thanks for all the info `` z

2015 is a first year model right? It should be the same unit in all other GM models. Our Acadia has the first 3.6 version. The '09+ all have direct fuel injection. I wonder if it has dual FI. I've been looking around for a Canyon. Lease ones and good ones are starting to be available.

The problem is hard to diagnose. Check the battery cables. The connections need to be perfect with today's electronics. A low battery or bad connections cause all kinds of problems.

Thanks for the come back but, if I had a low battery or connection issues, wouldn't I have problems else were. It never fails to start, turns over strong, everything works good, radio works flawlessly, no hesitations of anything except the gps.

Have you tried a calibration on it? The owners manual should have a procedure. GPS do need a starting point or they get lost too.

No I have not but I will look to see if I can find it. I have heard of calibration but I thought it would have to go to the dealer to do.

Does any one know of someone that can recalibrate the GPS instead of going to a dealer. The owners manual shows or tells nothing. Or if someone knows how that can tell me what to do. I am also going to look on YOU TUBE

2015 GM trucks had a GPS antenna problem that allowed moisture in and cause all kinds of issues. That would be the shark fin antenna. My 2015 GMC Sierra had and issue and the shark fin had to be replaced. There was a special warranty coverage but you vehicle might be too old now. Don't know if you truck is affected but worth looking into.

I do not have the shark fin antenna. I have replaced my antenna base and mast. I will take a better look at it and if needed I can seal around the base with that clear flex seal. To much of a bear to loosen up and seal under the base. Also wonder is getting ahold of the BBB to find out about this. I had to do that once on a 1981 GMC, JIMMY, because of a soft cam. Thank you
