I have a stock 3-Wire 10SI 63-amp Alternator in my 1980 Camaro. 1-wire goes to my car battery, 2-wire connector is part of engine harness. I need to upgrade to a 100-amp output for electric fans, electric water pump, and electric fuel pump. I want to stay with 10SI case, so it fits my existing mounting brackets. I look on Jegs and Summit and notice their high output 10SI alternators are 1-wire. The 1-wire apparently connects to my car battery. Can I use these 1-wire alternators and not connector anything to my existing 2-wire connector? I think 1 of the 2-wire connections is for my idiot alternator dash light.
Thanks Kevin

    In response to Kevin Blank

I have been told one wire Alternators and volt meter don't use R-F or 1-2 .
I have also been told to use a volt gauge on ANY Alternator that exceed 65 Amps in output.
