Hi there,
Our 2000 Blazer, when switching from 2 wheel drive into 4 wheel high and then going into 2 wheel drive will not shift back into 4 wheel high again. It will, however, go into 4 wheel low after stopping, putting the emergency brake on and shifting into neutral.
The module has been changed three times and they all do the same thing, not work, so we are back to the original one again. The motor on the transfer case has been replaced, vacuum lines have been checked, and the panel switch has been replaced.
When this happens the only cure for it, at present, is to disconnect the battery and then it will work one time by going into 4 wheel high.
In my area we just had 10.5 inches of snow within a 24 hour period.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to the site.
Replaced the hoses. Even if they look good. Old hoses cause all kinds of problems. I had a similar problem with a friend's Ram 4X4. I know I hooked up everything correctly. It didn't want to work. Knowing the parts were old, I used zip ties at the connections. Sure enough vacuum loss prevented engagement. Zip tie vacuum hose connections. Next, get a cheap hand held vacuum from Harbor Freight. Pull light vacuum to activate the switch and test the servo. Check grounds.
The final suggestion, ditch the electrical 4X4 and go mechanical. www.lmctruck.com and other vendors have conversion kits.
Let me look at my '96 factory service manuals. I'll look for troubleshooting procedures.

When you attempt to shift, check the solenoid also if it is working properly.
