Hi, I need to replace 8 GDI injectors on a 2016, Sierra 1500, 5.3 NON flex fuel. The dealer said injectors 1,3 and 8 were bad, but best to replace all of them. That I agree with.
GM says I have 3 different injectors installed, low flow, normal flow, and high flow.
I read on GM tech-link, that if the injector order were mixed up, the “normal flow” injector could be installed for all 8 injectors, but you could have fuel trim and emission problems.
With 4 injectors per bank, what injector do I need two of?
In what position does each injector go?
Are each injector banks the same?

Thanks for any help

I think you may have bad information. Shouldn't all 8 injectors be the same?

For instance, doesn't show "different flow" injectors for your vehicle.

GM may still be having trouble with their injector screens being too fine and clogging like the ones I replaced in a 97 engine. Other Mgfrs. may have injectors of the same-same flow rates per hour - check with a "Injector Company."

As an example I called and ordered Ford injectors for my motor because they had a reputation for not ever clogging. They sent me Chrysler injectors that I installed. Later the car went up on blocks for years. Old gas or just sitting about year 3 the motor ran like crap which I cleared simply by running it at about 2500-3500 for less than a minute on new gas and the old familiar sound from the motor returned!

Yes, I know it's an engine but motor was quiker Best of Luck to You-

I'd rather be thorough than vague
