Hello and thanks in advance I have 1978 el camino 231 V6 that won't pass visual inspection
Can anyone please direct me to where this line with the red cap possibly connects it is attached to the air cleaner (pan)
Any help appreciated!!!

Totally flying blind as I’ve never been that close to an Elky, but, is there any chance it would have been for a PCV?

The pcv valve hose is much bigger and it connects to the carb. Thanks though!

Yeah, it's been  years since I've worked on one of these but I think it went to the evap can on the front core support. If I remember correctly (which is questionable) it is a line that goes up into the clean side of the air cleaner, it was for removing fumes from the canister when at speed. I have a few early to mid '80's GM shop manuals around here I will check, if I come up with something I will scan it and post it up.
