I wanted to share an experience I had recently on my 2011 Escalade.
The magnetic ride decided to go south. The only suspension I had was the sidewall flex on 22" rims. Talk about brutal!!
I took it in to a shop that does very good work, and got a quote to repair it. $4900.00!!
I found an outfit that specializes in magnetic ride conversions.

I did the front, and rear. I literally cannot tell the difference in the ride from when the magnetic stuff was working. The cost of the kit was $165 for the front. The rear was $146. I should have bought the complete kit for $235, but I had a thought that the rear could be repaired.
I am not getting any kickback from these guys, I am just sharing some good product information.

Interesting kit and I'm sure will help keep a lot of those vehicles on the road. I suspect many people would be sidelined by a $5K repair bill just for what amounts to struts and shocks!
I'd say you could probably piece together that kit easily on your own but their price seems good enough to not worry about it. Hard to argue with $235.

Corvette guys do the same thing. They have nice bypasses with a molded plug that goes in place of the shock.
The better way to remove it is to unplug the module and then go into the BCM settings and turn off the ride control option so it's gone for good and will never throw a code or give issues in the future.

I replaced one of my Cadillacs with Arnotts Setup.
The system is happy, never thrown a code, but In the long haul the ride is not as nice as it was with the originals. The difference is mostly noted on the highway in curves, braking, and accelerating.
Overall I am satisfied considering the OEM parts were about 6k back when I did the conversion.
It was front and rear, The Air ride still uses the Height sensors, but the fronts do not control the struts anymore
