I'd be happy to take any measurements that I can from my '54. Can someone post a picture so I know what I am looking for? Is this on the PG side, or in the linkage?

Hi Dsacton.
Sorry i dont know how to add pictures.. you are right, it's part of the linkage, it's the rod located on the driver side of the transmission, it connects the powerglide to the throttle linkage.Cheers:)

Could you look through this manual and see if it is called out as something else? There are a couple of different rods.

Hi, just trolling the forum and came on this request. I looked at the exploded view of the shifting linkage with a magnifying glass and there seems to be 2 rods with the number 4.019. I assume one is the actual shifter while the other appears to go to the carburetor linkage. Do you only need that carburetor rod that attaches to the 4.041 lever or all the connected levers and pivots between the rod and carburetor?

Good point. OK, which rod do I need to measure? The one shown in blue or in red?

I've got the red rod pulled from a '53, if it is the correct one, to pull measurements from.PM if you want to simply purchase it, as I do not have a carb and associated linkage to return to stock.
